Never Forget
The Tragedy
Always Remember
The Heroism

On the night of September 11, 2001
I was compelled to paint this small watercolor
as the horrific news of four hijacked planes
and the devastation continued to be broadcast.
The painting depicts a figurative New York City
with rising plumes of colossal hands
reaching toward a dove in the heavens.
My hope is that you will find meaning
in your own personal interpretation.

My painting In Harmony was selected for the Ocala Art Group's Invitational Exhibit: Best of 2013 currently at the Ocala Civic Theatre. The painting had previously won Best in Show in the OAG juried exhibit Pathways and Pastimes - a collection of artwork celebrating National Park and Recreation Month - held at Ocala City Hall June-August 2013.

I created this scene through my imagination and my collective memories of living in South Florida.

Gallery East Art Center features a beautiful outdoor mural painted by several members of this art co-op in Belleview FL. The mural extends around the building, making the viewer feels as if surrounded by nature.
I am really happy to have won the 3rd Place Award at the Gallery East Art Center's first Invitational Juried/Judged Show. This inaugural show was open to members of the Visual Arts Association of
the Villages, and I am excited to see what organization they will invite next time.

As the end of the year approaches, I look back over a ten-year period to reflect upon my growth as an artist. I am grateful to all those who have encouraged me along my journey, and my hope is that I have truly inspired others to create their own original art.
I wish everyone the merriest Christmas!
